Six miles today on the treadmill. Yuck. Two months ago I would be singing the praises of such a device, but our relationship has soured over the last couple of weeks. Winter here in the Mid-west is usually a brutal thing. First comes the rain, then the sub zero temps, followed by heavy, wet snow, followed by more freezing. Essentially, by this time what we would have is a frozen ground layer covered with multiple layers of alternating ice, frozen ice, muddy ice, salt that no longer melts said ice. That has not been the case this year. So far, it has been a mild winter, and while I've run my due diligence inside. I have missed out on running outside during some pretty decent weather. This past week, I made a commitment to myself that I would run outside as long as there wasn't torrential rains.
Monday - good run, although slogged a little by leg fatigue.
Tuesday - no run required although I was itching to run. Held off till....
Wed- bucket loads on rain... Everything was wet.. Stayed indoors. Succumbed to "treadmilling"
Hopefully Thurs. and Fri. go better.
